1047 Games began with the simple principle that people should have fun while making great games. Bucking convention and driven by a passion to create the ultimate gaming experience, Ian Proulx and Nicholas Bagamian founded the company in 2017 in their Stanford dorm room. Their love for arena shooters of the past drove them to create Splitgate, a unique sci-fi first-person shooter that adds portal guns to upend the genre.
What started as two computer science majors putting portals into a first-person shooter for a project demo has evolved into a VC-backed company which has raised more than $120MM in funding.
Why work with 1047 Games?

We take pride in giving our team the flexibility to work where they want and how they want to achieve amazing results. Our growing crew already spans a significant portion of the globe."

Bad Robot Games (the gaming arm of Bad Robot Productions: Lost, Cloverfield, Westworld, Star Wars) is passionate about telling stories and building worlds that can only be experienced through games. Their goal is to create gaming destinations across all platforms that are as fun to watch as they are to play. Through their two development teams (an in-house studio, and a creative co-development team who collaborates with external partners), they drive a diverse slate which includes AAA and iii titles, as well as a mix of original projects and established IP.
All their projects unite their games industry veterans, their film and TV colleagues, and their larger network of talent (writers, composers, sound designers, concept artists, and more), which uniquely allows them to blend artists, areas of expertise, and perspectives across industries to create truly innovative games. And because of this constant collaboration, they’re able to bring a novel, fully-integrated approach to cross-medium world building.
Bad Robot Games and diversity:
"The games industry is expanding faster than ever before – but, there’s still a huge gap in representation of all kinds in games. Building a diverse, representative, and inclusive team isn’t just about building the kind of place at which we want to work. It’s what will allow us to address a huge need in the market for games which speak to all kinds of players, innovate from the benefit of a diversity of perspectives, and to give a voice to amazing stories which have never been seen, heard, or played before."
