We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of IT projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage resources, timelines, and budgets effectively. This position will oversee large scale projects utilizing Senior Architects and Engineers/Technicians. The most important overarching objective of this position is to optimize and maintain a project delivery process that is effective, efficient, thorough, and successful. The primary objective for this position is to master project management activities, resource management, equipment delivery, and over communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Architects to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects. Maintaining Project lifecycle (planning through closure)
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables and manage project dependencies
- Manage project teams and allocate resources effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Participate in the weekly Project Level 10 meeting
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Effectively communicate project progress to stakeholders, team members, and leadership
- Ensure project quality and deliverables meet or exceed client expectations
- Foster a positive and productive work environment
- Manage cross-functional project teams, including external vendors, to ensure effective resource allocation and management
- Develop and implement risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure project outcomes align with business objectives
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and project documentation
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to project team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and process improvements to increase project efficiency and effectiveness
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in IT projects
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams, including external vendors
- Strong experience with project management methodologies, tools, and software
- Understanding of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies
- Experience managing large, complex projects
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.)
- CAPM or PMI certification preferred

- A primarily remote opportunity with limited travel
- Work Schedule: M-F, 8 hour shift
