Product Designer – Remote – $85,000 and $140,000

If you want to be part of a product-driven business that is building something from the ground up, Seekr is looking for an experienced Product Designer to support our growing design team. We are a small, and highly collaborative team with a “can-do” spirit. You must be able to prioritize with tight deadlines and follow through in a rapidly changing environment.

In this role, your primary focus is to collaborate with UX and UI to create experiences for the Seekr product from wireframe creation through into final assets. Part of this process is regular coordination and review of designs with UX and Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design experiences through each stage of development, driving the implementation of concepts from early ideation through to execution creating and/or reviewing low-to-mid fidelity mockups through to high fidelity visual assets.
• Foster collaboration with UI and UX designers to product managers to translate initiatives and product enhancements into actionable, measurable experiences.
• Create and/or assist in the creation of low-to-mid fidelity mockups through to high fidelity visual assets.
• Use deep knowledge of psychological design principles, systemic design and layout to create an experience in-line with company branding and tone.
• Collaborative partner with UX Research, including quantitative/qualitative analysis, evaluating competitive and other digital experiences to determine final design solutions and for consideration in future product iterations.
• Work with the UX team to plan, prepare files and execute usability testing and other testing to validate designs.
• Familiarity and working with with the use of design system, creation of new components and experiences, and documentation for experiences, interactions and micro-interactions.
• Help establish best practices and conventions for product design.
• Act as SME for modern design trends, including advancements in design thinking, rapid prototyping and testing ideas with users.

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Required:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a digital Product Designer
  • Experience using grid systems for responsive design
  • Experience in executing UX research
  • Expert knowledge of Figma
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC
  • Must have portfolio demonstrating your work
  • Strong oral and written skills to communicate effectively with engineers, product owners/managers and upper management
  • Familiarity with psychological principles of design
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team of designers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in the industry
• Desired:
  • Strong familiarity with online collaboration tools to work remotely with distributed teams
  • Illustration and animation skills

The US base salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $140,000 annualized plus bonus, equity value (where applicable) and benefits. Your base pay will depend on your experience, location, skills and qualifications.
